Perfect as an aperitif!  Azabache Método Tradicional Brut Sparkling Rioja NV is a Traditional Method (aka Champagne Method) sparkling Tempranillo Blanco from Rioja.  An intense, bright straw yellow colour with golden hues. A deep, fruity nose with underlining aromas of white fruit and citrus, sweet notes and a very delicate and sophisticated floral base.  Elegant and silky on the palate, integrated mousse and balanced acidity. Persistent finish of white fruits and floral notes with a long, pleasant finish. Pairs wonderfully with creamy sauces, white meat, fish and shellfish. Fincas de Azabache is a state of the art cooperative, founded in December 1956. The Bodegas now owns 2600 hectares of vineyards at the foot of Mount Yerga, which is at the heart of the driest sub region of Rioja; “Oriental”, previously Rioja Baja. With limited risk of rot, this is an area conducive to the principles of organic viticulture, to which the Bodegas is firmly and successfully committed.
