Description Doolhof Mountain Range Syrah Grenache 2021 Region: Wellington, South Africa Grape: 74% Syrah, 26% Grenache Noir Tasting Notes: Crimson red wine with an intensely perfumed mélange of red fruits, and candy apple, and bright oak undertones. On the palate, the fruit/oak balance is harmonious with soft and juicy tannins, cassis, and plum flavors producing a wine of vibrant structure and a lingering finish Food Pairing: Pairs well with smoked brisket and bbq meat dishes. Harvesting is done by hand, followed by grape sorting before the grapes were put into the same fermenter after which co-fermentation took place. After malolactic fermentation took place naturally, the wines were aged in third, fourth, and fifth-fill French oak barrels for 8 months.
