On the nose, its aromas of vine flowers and linden with a melted vanilla touch, due to aging in Limousin barrels, demonstrate a great aromatic richness, characteristic of a fine cognac. Frapin 1270 offers a beautiful roundness, richness, and balance. Its length on the palate is due to a special distillation on fine lees, with slightly vanilla or toasted bread aromas. The whole estate, including 240ha of vineyards, lies in the Grande Champagne area which is regarded as Cognac’s best appellation. Still in original family ownership, the family can trace their vine growing and distilling history back to 1270.
